Mari Scott
Always dabbling around with a combination of words, mostly a journal that turned into a small novel. A creative imagination from a very early age, she was the one to always write the short skits, direct the plays at school or make new lyrics for familiar songs.
The love of writing grew as she volunteered her time at camps and 43 local churches with children's mission programs. Writing poems as gifts to cherish love ones, teaching creative writing on the college level, using her love of poetry in Children's Church activities.
A publish songwriter and poet, with three poetry books(Heartfelt Desires, and Untamed Desires and a joint effort, Mystical Pens) and a fourth fiction book (Me, Brother-in-law and Uncle Pete) in progress about the joys of her beloved late brother.
Today Mari makes her home in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago land area. In between running 2 businesses, being a proud mother of Tamatha, a new Son-in-law Tony, her grand dog Sampson and grand cat Felix, and a new grandbaby in May, she still finds time to host on line poetry, and work on her 4th book.
Co-Chairman of Ninian's Poetry Cafe 2000-2001 and a on line Poetry Host and founder and owner of www.ThePoertyCafe.net, the administrator of The Poetry Café on the VooDoo Chat and Poetry World in Spiral Matrix.
